  Our Mission
  
  Founded in 1998, Zhang Sah is an independent 501C(3) non-profit organized for the purpose of promoting and providing educational, cultural and athletic programs. Our practice incorporates research based human development strategies with multi-disciplinary martial arts traditions to yield positive outcomes such as educated, fit, resilient, socially mobile and enlightened students. Zhang Sah serves children, youth, and adults by offering educational programs and classes in communities that we serve.

  On behalf of Dr. Sandone, the black belts, and staff at Zhang Sah, please join us in congratulating one of our own Jr. Black Belts, Akayla Brown, who has received the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Scholarship.
  
  Earning her Jr. Black Belt at Zhang Sah was one of her first big accomplishments. Now she is headed to college with many accolades
  and recognition and we are so proud of her.

  Our main martial art, Budo, takes a unique approach to learning multiple martial arts at once in a way that streamlines the learning process. In addition to the core arts proficiencies developed through our comprehensive program, we also offer additional martial arts lessons on a per-location basis.

  Zhang Sah offers a variety of comprehensive educational programs that are counted among the best in the city of Philadelphia. We also work with a number of funders and city-based services to ensure our excellent programs are accessible to ALL the children in the neighborhoods we serve. And as if all that weren’t already enough, we ensure every education program under our umbrella includes access to our top quality Martial Arts lessons!
