Queen Village Philadelphia: After School Coach / Group Leader

After School Coach/Group leader (Grades 6-8)

Zhang Sah’s MOSTSPORTS+ program has the mission is to improve the outcomes of middle school youth (grades 6-8) by using project based and sports based youth development strategies. The model requires regular and full time enrollment and attendance of middle school students to participate in daily homework club, athletic training, sports (individual, team, traditional, non-traditional, and gender specific), and other personal asset building endeavors throughout the school year.

The ideal candidate is active, engaging, and possesses excelent interpersonal communication skills. The candidate will need have experience in sports and to be willing to learn to play and support students in playing sports and active games. They must be available during after school hours (2-6pm) for the school year, scheduled early dismissals, and is able attend regular staff meetings plus monthly professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

18 years of age or older

HS or GED plus be enrolled in a post-secondary institution. Priority will be given to applicants who are engaged in the following fields of study:


Physical Education

Sports & Recreation Management

Recreational Therapy


Other child-related fields of study

Experience with coaching and playing sports

Experience working with children

Able to be physically active with children

Experience with urban settings and diverse populations

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to accept supervision and direction



Attend training sessions and meetings related to child welfare, positive coaching, activities, and safety.

Assist team leaders in identifying training needs for team.



Assist with the set-up and clean up of daily program, including housekeeping chores.

Escort children from school to the program site location.

Take daily attendance and manage all required paperwork as directed.

Ensure the safety of the children under their supervision.

Be physically available during program hours.

Provide academic assistance.

Be familiar with, and implement program in compliance with regulations and procedures.

Assist evaluators in gathering information related to program improvement.

Report to Program Coordinator.

Attend local meetings related to their service.

Participate in the evaluation of programs, training, and operations.

Other duties as assigned.

After School Group Leader

After School Group Leader – K/1 – West Mt. Airy / Germantown

School Age Group Leader Position –

Our ideal candidate is an active, caring, insightful, energetic and fun loving individual that loves a challenge, and working with kids from diverse backgrounds.

Zhang Sah’s martial arts themed after school program is a research based unique environment for children and educators.

This is a part time after school position during the school year.

  • Compensation: 10-14$ hr.
  • Benefits: Free Martial Arts Classes, Tuition Asssitance


  • Minimum education is HS diploma or GED
  • Required Clearances: Health, Criminal, Child Abuse
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Clean driving record with a minimum 3yrs experience


  • Early learning, Child Development, Sport and Recreation, Education and humanities majors

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising and Assisting children (homework, activities, trips)
  • Participate in regular team meetings and professional development sessions
  • Completing duties / projects as assigned
  • Escorting children
  • Serving snack
