The Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative (PYSC) member organizations that offer character-building and life skills training within the framework of healthy physical development. A pioneer in the country, it augments the impact of local non-profit organizations that use sports to benefit children and youth, particularly those from under-resourced environments. Collectively, these groups offer a range of sports activities such as cycling, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, martial arts, riding, rowing, running, soccer, squash, and tennis.
The PYSC Jr. Coach summer career exploration program is led by Zhang Sah in partnership with the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) and others with the goal to introduce young athletes to the career of coaching in their sport of choice. We use Sports Based Youth Development and Positive Coaching strategies along with career readiness training through this rich summer experiential opportunity.
