Private Academic School, K-8

In August of 2023, the Pennsylvania Board of Education awarded Zhang Sah a private school license. This made it the first fully licensed Martial Arts-Based Private Academic School in the USA. Our unique curriculum is designed to educate multi-lingual, brave scholars who are ready to succeed in any high school. Here are some key highlights about our school:

Academics

Zhang Sah School’s Kindergarten Class uses the Creative Curriculum to teach and enrich our students. The Creative Curriculum for Kindergarten provides a research-based, whole-child approach to learning through project-based investigations of science and social studies topics. These studies add reading and math ideas to daily lessons. They help students think about things in a new way, solve problems, and talk. The curriculum is aligned with early learning standards and supports individualized learning, ensuring that each child can learn at their own pace.

Experiential Learning

Students at Zhang Sah School are engaged in learning valuable lessons through direct experience, engagement, and reflection. We believe in immersing students in real-world scenarios, encouraging active participation, and hands-on involvement. This approach fosters deeper understanding and practical application of knowledge.

Small Class Size

Zhang Sah’s class sizes are small, allowing us to provide a personalized educational experience. This supports enhanced learning, better academic outcomes, and stronger relationships between students and teachers.

Multilingual Program

All students at Zhang Sah are introduced to and taught both Mandarin and Spanish, the first and second most-spoken languages in the world. Our multilingual program provides students with the opportunity and skills to be citizens of the world. In addition to English, learning these languages enhances their cultural awareness and global communication skills.

Martial Arts

All Zhang Sah students learn traditional martial arts (Tae Kwon Do and Judo). These traditions support the development of athletic skills and capacities at a very high level. They also boost health and confidence and equip students with the tools to be resilient, courteous, benevolent, and humble.

Accreditation

Zhang Sah School is a member of both the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS).

Tuition

The annual tuition rate is $10,000 for the full year. This can be paid in 8 monthly installments of $1,250.
